BME Suborbitals

(Booth: B01-D)

Hungary's first and largest rocket development competition team.

BME Suborbitals is a Budapest-based university rocketry team composed of dedicated members from various fields of study. Our team is organized into specialized divisions, including Avionics, Recovery, Ground Support, Aerodynamics & Control, Structural, Payload, Propulsion, and Operations.

Founded in early 2021, BME Suborbitals has already achieved significant milestones: first place at the International Rocket Cup, ranking among the top 10 competitors at the 2022 European Rocketry Challenge, and serving for years as the launch provider of the CanSat Hungary competition. After 2022, we qualified again for the European Rocketry Challenge held in Portugal in 2024 and 2025, representing Hungary as the only Hungarian team at the event. In 2025, with our rocket Aurora powered by evosoft, we achieved 5th place in Europe and also received the Team Award and the Technical Award.

Our current development, Project Eclipse, is preparing for the 2026 European Rocketry Challenge. The project aims to elevate the team’s performance to a new level both in engineering and organizational aspects, further strengthening our technological expertise and international competitiveness.

Our passion for rocketry drives us toward continuous improvement, and we are open to corporate partnerships to reach even greater heights together—both figuratively and literally.
